Biodynamic Medicine is a holistic approach to health and wellbeing that supports us in returning to our vibrant, true selves by integrating the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual layers of our being. Working with the cosmic energy and natural rhythms it works on a cellular level with the body's innate wisdom to restore balance and vitality. It emphasises the heart-brain-gut connection, psycho-peristalsis (the body's ability to process and release life experiences), and vibrational energy to promote deep healing and transformation.

How does Biodynamic Medicine work?
Biodynamic Medicine helps restore the natural flow of energy and vital fluids in the body. These can often become blocked or disrupted by stress and life experiences. These blockages can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, or out of balance. By clearing these interruptions, the body’s natural energy can move freely again, helping us feel more like our true selves.
This holistic approach combines psychotherapy, bodywork, and energy healing to address the root cause of issues—not just the symptoms. It reactivates the body’s natural ability to heal and brings balance back to your whole being.

History and Understanding
Biodynamic Medicine was developed by Clinical Psychologist Gerda Boyesen, who discovered that the gut—often called the “second brain”—plays a key role in processing emotions and psychological experiences, not just digesting food. This natural process, known as psycho-peristalsis, helps the body release stress and restore balance.
When the body is in a state of balance (homeostasis), psycho-peristalsis works smoothly, allowing us to process emotional experiences and maintain a sense of harmony.
Today’s fast-paced, high-stress world means that this process is often interrupted and so unresolved emotions or trauma can build up and create blockages that disrupt our natural flow.
These blockages can show up as:
Emotional disturbances
Physical tension or pain
Irritability
Lack of confidence
Unease and Disease
Even subtle disruptions can leave us feeling disconnected, out of sync, or simply not ourselves.

A Biodynamic Practitioner is a psychotherapist and skilled bodyworker who works at a deep, soul level with a pure intention to guide individuals toward flourishing, thriving, and fully embodying themselves.

At the core of this process is psycho-peristalsis, the body’s natural ability to clear unresolved emotions and stress. By activating this function, Biodynamic sessions bring lasting and meaningful change, addressing issues at their root to restore balance and harmony. A therapist uses a loud speaker stethocope as a diagnostic tool to hear the sounds of the gut. Often times when we are working online with a client lightness comes, they start to giggle and their tummy starts to ‘join’ in the ‘conversation’ (Freud) quite audible without any speaker!
