Learn the language of your nature
Sometimes the simplest way to understand what your body needs is to look at it through the lens of your own unique nature.
Ayurveda is a five-thousand-year-old system of health and wellbeing that began in India. Yet its understanding of human nature feels remarkably relevant to modern life.
When I first discovered Ayurveda, it felt as though I had been given a Guidebook for Living. It offered me a new way of understanding, appreciating and nourishing myself — and showed me how deeply connected we are to the natural world.
The Ayurvedic Health and Lifestyle Consultation is an opportunity to discover this for yourself.
Book your consultationThe Ayurvedic Health and Lifestyle Consultation is where my personal Ayurvedic work begins. Before any guidance on food, routine or daily plans, you'll begin with who you are, what your Constitution is and any current imbalances you may have.
This is where Ayurveda becomes personal
Your Ayurvedic Constitution — your Prakriti — is your individual pattern of qualities and tendencies: your natural strengths, your sensitivities, the ways your body and mind tend to respond. Alongside it sits your Vikriti — your present state of balance and what may have moved away from your nature.
Together, the Prakriti and Vikriti help us understand not simply what you are experiencing but why. And from there, Ayurveda offers practical ways to help you begin to move back towards your unique balance.
Develop a new relationship with yourself,
with your food, with your life
and with the natural world
Three energies move through all of nature — and through you.
Space and Air
The energy of movement and flow. Vata governs everything in motion, from your breath to your thoughts — the source of creativity, lightness and change.
Fire and Water
The energy of transformation. Pitta is your inner fire: digestion, focus and understanding — how you take life in, break it down and make sense of it.
Earth and Water
The energy of stability. Kapha gives structure, strength and calm — the steadiness that holds and nourishes you.
We each carry all three. The particular way they combine in you is your nature — your Constitution.
Ayurveda understands imbalance as something that unfolds slowly — through six quiet stages, long before it takes root. Caught early, it asks only a small and gentle correction. This is why the ordinary signs are worth listening to.
An imbalance rarely announces itself. More often it shows up quietly, in the ordinary texture of a day. You might notice:
None of this is a diagnosis. It is the body speaking — and Ayurveda gives us a language to understand what it is asking for.
The changes are quiet too. They rarely arrive all at once — more often they settle in over the weeks that follow. You might find:
Small shifts, lived gently, that return you to your own nature.
Why do you have the qualities you have?
Why do your energy, digestion, sleep or emotional state respond as they do?
What may have moved out of balance?
And what could you begin to change through food, daily rhythm and lifestyle?
You complete the details and return them to me before we meet, so I have time to become familiar with your background and what matters to you. From this I prepare your Prakriti, your Constitution and your Vikriti, your current imbalance.
In our time together, I will explain what this means to you and we find a workable way forward.
Your own bespoke constitutional guide to keep and return to, with first steps back towards balance.
Ayurveda gives us the map. Your life gives us the context.
Your Constitution — your Prakriti — stays constant through your life. Your state of balance is shaped, day by day, by how you live and by all you carry.
Alongside Ayurveda I bring twenty-five years as a Biodynamic Psychotherapist — so part of this consultation is making space for what is alive in your life now: the emotional landscape, the transitions and changes, the patterns and circumstances of the season you are in.
By understanding both your enduring Ayurvedic Constitution and the reality of your life today, the guidance that emerges is shaped by the full consideration of who you are and what is happening in your life right now.
Beneath stress and protection, the body's natural desire is to move towards wellbeingMy work is to support that movement
It begins with understanding yourself.
In Ayurveda, digestion is fundamental to health and wellbeing — not only the digestion of food, but our ability to process and integrate our experiences. Just as we need to transform food into nourishment, we need to be able to take in, process and move through what life brings us.
This is what first drew me to Ayurveda: its understanding that how well we digest and assimilate both food and experience affects how we feel, how we live and our capacity for health and balance.
It is also where I found a profound connection with biodynamic medicine — two different traditions, each recognising the body’s innate capacity to process, integrate and return to balance.
The starting point. Your Constitution and where you are out of balance now. Complete in itself.
