Discover a new relationship with food

Ayurveda recognises that there is no single way of eating that is right for everyone. Your food should reflect your unique constitution, your digestion and the imbalances you are experiencing now.

Once we understand who you are and what is currently out of balance — your Prakriti and your Vikriti — we can look more deeply at how you nourish yourself. Following your Ayurvedic Health and Lifestyle Consultation, this session explores your relationship with food and how nourishment can support your return to balance.

Digestion, the root of wellbeing

Where nourishment truly begins

In Ayurveda, digestion sits at the very foundation of health. The digestive fire, or Agni, is what transforms all we eat into energy, clarity and vitality.

When Agni is strong, food nourishes us fully and builds Ojas — the subtle essence of vitality, immunity and radiance. When it is low, even good food can leave us heavy, tired or unsettled.

This is why the work begins with your digestion. Tend to your Agni — and energy, sleep, mood and immunity begin to steady with it.

How the food work unfolds

Eating for balance

We explore what foods, flavours and ways of eating suit you and adapt them to what is out of balance now.

For your Prakriti

constitution

Eating in the way, and choosing the qualities of food, that suit your constitution — who you are, by nature.

For your Vikriti

current imbalance

Choosing the qualities that gently counter what is unsettled now, so food becomes a natural way of moving towards balance.

For your Ritu

the seasons

Adjusting as the year turns, so your food supports you through every season — bringing deep nourishment and comfort whatever the time of year.

Understanding yourself. Recognising what is unsettled. Nourishing yourself towards balance.

Who it is for

Everybody can benefit from this knowledge. Perhaps you are simply interested in understanding and experiencing the Ayurvedic perspective. However, it is particularly supportive if you experience any of the following.

How it works

Simple to begin, shaped around you

Before we meet

A three-day food diary

You keep a simple three-day record of what you eat and return it to me before we meet — a clear, honest starting point for our work together.

During

Ninety minutes together

Online, face to face, we explore your relationship with food and how the Ayurvedic perspective can support you to feel different and make choices towards more balance.

Afterwards

A guide of your own

Your own guide to eating for your Prakriti (constitution), your Vikriti (current imbalances) and the seasons — clear and practical, with simple recipes and ways to modify your everyday meals.

Online, together

From my kitchen to yours

Food is such an essential part of how we live and how we feel — wonderful medicine not only for the body but also the soul.

In your consultation we look at your current diet — nothing about right or wrong, simply a new perspective to support good digestion and balance.

You will leave with a plan to support your Prakriti (constitution) and your Vikriti (current imbalances) — a personally designed booklet with simple starter recipes, created uniquely for you. The intention is that you truly begin to understand the Ayurvedic philosophy and, more than anything, feel able to modify your everyday meals — often simply more of one thing and less of another, or the way you combine your food.

Look out for my online cookery programmes, where we cook live together.

A simple, personal approach

You leave with a clearer understanding of how food can support you, together with practical guidance that feels natural to incorporate into everyday life.

It is a way of learning to listen to your body and discovering how beautifully nourishing it can be to eat in a way that is truly your own.
